I sanded the front with 80 grit sandpaper and sprayed it with white enamel primer.
After a couple of coats I sanded it with 220 sandpaper.

I made sure to cover any bare wood.


I got a little smarter taping off this side.
Two inch tape was the biggest I could find at Home Depot, but it went a lot faster.
I then cut around the figures with a razor blade.


Damn that looks a lot better already!
I'm using oil based enamel for the repaint.
I applied the blue with a nice spray gun.


I decided to go with oil based paint on this because the pac was originally painted with some kind of enamel.
You know what happens when you put regular latex over enamel?
It peels like an albino with a sunburn.
